Marco Candi, Marco's Way Wine Tours

Marco Candi is a Marchigiano native who makes his own Lacrima di Morro d’Alba wine, picked grapes for his father as a child, and has a Wine Expert Diploma after years of study.

He is the ideal person to introduce you to the hidden treasures of the Marche through wine, food, and the families that make them. His private tours focus exclusively on smaller, family run wineries which guarantees an authentic experience. Marco was recommended to us by a friend who had an exceptional day with him. Marco has been a Wine Tour Guide for 14 years and has a 5 star rating on Tripadvisor. 

With Marco as your guide (and English interpreter), you will discover Le Marche’s unique, native wines, paired with local specialties like cheeses and cold cuts. You will also enjoy a delicious lunch with traditional Marchigiani foods (and wine)!

More than a wine tour, Marco will introduce you to local artisans who make high-quality cheeses, extra virgin olive oil, honey, or chocolate for you to try. Every tour is custom made to your request. His comfortable and air conditioned van seats up to 8 guests, with a minimum of only 2 people.

Marco offers a private Sunset Sail Aperitivo Tasting for 4-8 guests on board a sailboat to see the famous Due Sorelle rock formation along the stunning Conero Coast.

The Truffle Hunting and Wine Experience gives 2-8 guests the opportunity to hunt for truffles with an expert hunter and his dogs. Lunch is served featuring the truffles that you’ve found, and you’ll visit a local winery afterwards.

Marco also offers a Mountain Bike Wine Excursion for at least 4 guests. Ride through the beautiful Marche hills and admire the vineyards and villages in the open air. Sample local wines along the way and enjoy a lunch that you’ve certainly earned!
